BUYING TAROT CARDS

The choice of different Tarot sets available makes it difficult for a beginner.  The Rider Waite is still the best known and most frequently used of all the packs and it’s certainly a good place to start. 

If you are interested in Tarot and want to choose a pack, take plenty of time to make your decisions.
There are literally dozens of packs.  Many shops have a book in which different packs are laid out for you to peruse.  Take your time and really study the different cards.  If you stare at a pack and you feel nothing, then it’s unlikely to be a good tool for you.

When you take your Tarot cards home, you want to perform a small ceremony to acknowledge their new presence in your life.  Use what feels right for you: light a candle or incense, cleanse the pack, imbued it in whatever way feels goo with your love and healing.  Wrap them up carefully in a silk or cotton scarf.  Natural fabric allows them to stay in the best possible condition.

Most importantly, you also need to have meditation time with each card.
